I’m a Virgo Sun, Capricorn Rising, and Pisces Moon, so I'm a deeply grounded Earthy being with huge feels and dreams. My Virgo energy helps me pinpoint systems that aren't working, and my Pisces moon helps me do that with compassion and care. Hello, to the healing journey that led me to become a queer energy worker. My Mercury and Venus are ruled in Virgo which gives me the ability to use my words poetically to create genuine connections, cultivate community, and write passionate articles.

It was at that time when I ended a long-term relationship and my daughter started high school. Those 4 years were extremely challenging times for us both. They triggered childhood trauma that I had internalized for far too long. My nervous system was a wreck and my body didn’t feel mine anymore. This was the catalyst to my healing journey.

This journey brought me to remember that I am a first-generation badass. I deepened my Buddhist practice with study and chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo (prayer in Nichiren Buddhism). I found the wisdom and courage within me to accept I needed professional help. I did talk therapy and hypnotherapy for close to 3 years until I “graduated”. However, I knew this wasn’t the end, there was something deeper that was calling me, there was generational healing I needed to uncover.

Born to immigrant parents who sacrificed so much for me to have better and greater opportunities in my life, I followed suit to what society ingrained in us throughout school and also to make my parents proud— I joined Corporate America and worked tirelessly to prove myself worthy in a system that was never built for me.

I found myself struggling, unfulfilled in my work, and not fitting into Corporate America. Finally, after several burnouts and one life-changing mental breakdown, I left Corporate America and never looked back.

I began doing things for myself and found my joy and happiness in my healing, decolonizing belief systems, and experiencing my heart expanding and standing in my wholeness.

I received my 200-hour yoga certification in 2018 which led to finding a deeper understanding of yoga and the breath. The breath has guided me to all of my teachers, trainings, and experiences that have allowed me to develop a unique style of holding space that goes beyond the physical body. My practices follow the seasons, connect us to the deeper parts of ourselves, and contain energy healing work.

When I’m not teaching and guiding, you can find me continuously learning and growing through education and hands-on pedagogy, such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Herbalism, and yoga. And writing seasonal wellness articles.
